Man on the Moon - 43rd Anniversary

Forty three years ago Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins traveled 384,400 km to the Moon, to celebrate I went for a much shorter ride on my bike . Susan made me a neat commemorative flag for the occasion.

w810 ticker message via bluetooth using bash

Assuming bluetooth is setup already and the Sony-Ericcson W810i is bound to rfcomm0. XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX is set to the baddr of the phone. Takes a few seconds for the rfcomm to go connected. The sleep command sets how long the ticker will display for, the rfcomm closes when the script exits. #===========cut here ===============================

Roadies don't know road rules

I was doing a (perfectly legal) "optional hook turn by a bicycle rider" on my grocery laden Gomier trike (as seen in the previous post). While I was waiting I was passed by a fully lycra clad roadie type who opined as he went by "you're making us all look bad". How does obeying the law (Road Safety Rules 2009 Division 3 ietm 35 ) make "us" look bad ? ( who is this "us" anyway ? I'm not to be included in any group that:
  1. wears lycra
  2. is doing a personal best
  3. training
  4. pretending they're in the TdF) .
I expect this sort of ignorance of the law from motorists, sad to see cyclists with the same affliction.

HALO 3 on XBOX 4G ?

Back in 2010 Microsoft were ( supposedly) fixing the problem with co-op in HALO Reach, ODST and 3 on an XBOX 4G . TFA quotes MS: Microsoft insisted the limitation is "temporary" and "We are aware of the issue and are quickly working to resolve it." but that was 18 months ago.
Was it ever fixed ?, not that I can tell :-(
